In Latitude, incorporating our sister business Longitude Art Gallery, we have created one dynamic and inspirational creative space. Six creative souls led by three heavyweight designers in their own right, directors Sarah Clemson, Andy Schofield and Sean Pickles, toil happily on client strategy, branding, profile and promotion.

The backdrop is a vast, light white studio adorned with contemporary art, against a jaw dropping view of Pendle Hill nestled in our beloved Ribble Valley. We have painted the scene, however far from a tranquil landscape our creativity has energy, vibrancy and flow. This only tells one side of the story, an equally big story lies in the co-ordinates that have brought us to this point.

Sarah’s story started back in 1991 setting up her first success story, 90 Degrees, Design & Print, from small beginnings in Blackburn to the lofty heights of King Street, Manchester. Fast forward to 2005 and juggling running a business with a young family and hours stuck in traffic on the motorway prompted a change. The successful business was sold and eventually made way for another – Latitude. Soon after selling, Sarah met Andy. They hit it off straight away and worked together on numerous accounts and many campaigns. Andy left university with a First Class Honours Degrees in Graphic Design and has worked and gained respect in the industry he has loved ever since. This is where Sean joins the story – Andy and Sean worked together for an agency that proved to be their last employed positions.

Then in 2012 great things happened – Andy and Sarah became business partners and formed Latitude and Sean formed his own Design Practice, Pickles Creative and Media. Sean studied Graphic Design at Salford University and went on to work in the creative industry as a designer and account handler, working on blue chip projects from global packaging projects to the re-branding of a plc corporation.

Latitude was launched, already with a portfolio of both UK and international companies big and small such as Hartmann – a global medical business, Oakhill School, Trevor Dawson Commercial Property Consultants and many more. Jay was the first to join us as designer then Kath, then Richard… you can see the map forming. Having worked with Sean during this time it was a natural progression for Latitude to merge with Pickles Creative in 2017, allowing Sean to bring his twenty years of agency experience and top flight clients, such as Jura, Kevin Murphy, Living Proof and Head Gear to the practice.

Along the way in 2013 we launched Longitude Art Gallery, exhibiting contemporary national, regional and local art from the same location.

2020, we became the marketing delivery partner to the cohort of start-up tech businesses for the Exchange Programme at Bonded Warehouse, Enterprise City, Manchester.

So here you find us, our Clitheroe and Manchester journeys aligned and sharing our story. We are down to earth, plain speaking, hard-working and you’ll find we go above and beyond to create the magic that works – tried and tested.
